NCCS Moves From Research Phase to Immediate Commercial Deployment

Due to the enactment of the Paramountcy Principle and the SWA Biological Hazards Code of Practice (effective March 2026) — which explicitly classifies childcare as a biohazardous environment serving a vulnerable population — the NCCS has shifted its immediate priority from research pilot to commercialisation.

Every ECEC centre in Australia has been forced into a compliance vacuum: the law now requires structured infection-control governance, documented competency, and auditable safe systems of work for cleaning — but no pathway, no training, no framework, and no workforce existed to deliver it.

The sector needs the solution now. The NCCS Structured Certification Program, blended training pathways, compliance documentation systems, and cleaning company licensing are available for immediate deployment.

If you’re not confident you could show WHS compliance tomorrow, it’s likely your Safe Work System isn’t embedded, verified, or effective.

Your Hierarchy of Control and SSOW must be updated now to define biohazards and the controls required under the new Code.
